According to Saudi Press Agency, the Maldivian speaker welcomed Al Al-Sheikh and his accompanying delegation, praising Saudi Arabia's leading regional and international role, its efforts to promote peace and stability, and its continuous care for pilgrims.
The speaker of the Shura Council highlighted the strong fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives, emphasizing the importance of strengthening parliamentary relations and expanding cooperation and coordination between the two sides in ways that serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
The meeting also reviewed parliamentary cooperation and explored ways to enhance coordination in international parliamentary forums on issues of mutual interest.
