Riyadh: Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh received in Riyadh the newly appointed Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lusa Fragoso. He welcomed the ambassador and wished her success in her new duties, highlighting the achievements the Kingdom has made under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ambassador expressed her pleasure at visiting the Shura Council, noting that Saudi Arabia is an important partner for Portugal. She also voiced her country's appreciation for the Kingdom's positions and efforts to promote regional and international peace and stability.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, with a particular focus on parliamentary ties between the Shura Council and the Portuguese Parliament, along with several issues of common interest.
