SOPC President Engages in Strategic Talks at OCA Meeting in Bahrain

Manama: Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) president Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz participated in the Olympic Council of Asia's (OCA) 101st executive board meeting. The meeting took place in Bahrain's capital, in conjunction with the 3rd Asian Youth Games "Bahrain 2025." According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting was also attended by SOPC vice president Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed and SOPC chief executive and secretary-general Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Baeshen. The OCA's board meeting covered several agenda items, such as preparations for the 7th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Riyadh next year, the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, in 2026, and the 4th Asian Youth Games 'Cambodia 2029'. Financial and administrative reports to be presented to the OCA general assembly were also discussed. Furthermore, Prince Abdulaziz engaged in dialogue with Kuwait Olympic Committee president Sheikh Fahad bin Nasser bin Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah about Saudi and Kuwait i participation in the Manama Asiad and explored ways to enhance cooperation between the Saudi and Kuwaiti Olympic committees. He also conferred with OCA vice president for Central Asia Otabek Umarov to discuss strengthening relations between SOPC and the OCA to support sports development across the continent. On the sidelines, Prince Abdulaziz, as president of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSA), held several bilateral meetings. He met with Olympic Council of Malaysia president Mohamad Norza and Iran National Olympic Committee president Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, focusing on the latest preparations for Malaysia's and Iran's participation in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, set to be hosted by Riyadh in November.
