Khartoum: Republic of Sudan Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim affirmed that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) was among the first responders to meet the needs of those affected since the outbreak of the humanitarian crisis in the country.
According to Saudi Press Agency, his remarks came during the Tuesday inauguration of nine humanitarian projects implemented by KSrelief across several vital sectors in Sudan. He explained that Saudi support allocated to the health sector in Sudan has exceeded $33 million, including the shipment of more than 200 containers carrying advanced medical equipment and power generators, targeting 50 hospitals. The support also includes the implementation of more than 40 medical camps annually across various states.
The health minister expressed the gratitude of the government and people of Sudan to the Kingdom's leadership, noting that this support reflects the depth of the strong fraternal relations between the two countries.
