Sudanese Pilgrim’s Unexpected Journey to Hajj: Acceptance Letter Changed My Life

Sudan: Sudanese pilgrim Ibrahim Abdulrahim never expected that a routine moment during his usual workday in Japan would transform into the beginning of a long-awaited journey. Amidst his office work and accounting records, he received a letter informing him of his selection as a guest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visitation, opening the door to a dream he had prayed to fulfill for many years.

According to Saudi Press Agency, "The vast distance and my professional obligations had always prevented me from fulfilling my dream of performing Hajj," Ibrahim said. "That was until this generous invitation brought me closer to the Holy Kaaba and enabled me to perform the fifth pillar of Islam within a comprehensive system of exceptional services and care."

He emphasized that the program serves as a shining example of the immense care the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides to pilgrims from across the globe. He noted that his journey, since arriving in the Kingdom, has been characterized by meticulous organization, a warm reception, and comprehensive care overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance. The services provided include modern transportation, premium healthcare, well-equipped accommodations, and diverse meals. Furthermore, dedicated field teams and committees continuously accompany the pilgrims to facilitate their movement and ensure the smooth performance of their rituals with complete peace of mind.

Abdulrahim pointed out that the program allowed him to meet fellow Muslims from various countries, creating a powerful spiritual scene that reflects the unity and harmony of the Islamic world as they gather with a single purpose in an atmosphere of brotherhood and tranquility.

In closing, the Sudanese pilgrim expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their boundless efforts and care for pilgrims. He also commended the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance for successfully implementing the program.
