SURJ Sports Investment Unveils ‘Radia’ to Revolutionize Sports Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: SURJ Sports Investment, in collaboration with Live Nation and Oak View Group (OVG), has announced the launch of radia, a joint venture aimed at advancing sports infrastructure across Saudi Arabia. The initiative focuses on venue management, operations, activations, and commercialization, supporting the kingdom's expanding portfolio of world-class stadiums, arenas, and sports precincts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, radia aims to be a comprehensive venue-services platform, covering all stages of sports venue development from design to commercialization. By leveraging partnerships, digital capabilities, and sustainable solutions, radia seeks to transform new infrastructure into commercially viable destinations.

Xavier Campbell, appointed as the CEO of radia, will spearhead the venture's market entry and growth strategy. Campbell has been instrumental in shaping the business model of radia, aligning with the Public Investment Fund's (PIF) strategy for the sports sector within its broader tourism and entertainment objectives for 2026-2030.

Danny Townsend, CEO of SURJ Sports Investment, emphasized the importance of the partnership in building a future-ready sports sector. He highlighted the collaboration with industry leaders to enhance fan experiences and future-proof infrastructure, thus expanding access to world-class sports experiences in Saudi Arabia.

John Reid, Chairman of Live Nation in EMEA, expressed the significance of the partnership in continuing Live Nation's long-term investment in Saudi Arabia since 2017. The focus will be on creating venues and experiences that cater to artists, athletes, and audiences alike.

Chris Granger, CEO of Oak View Group, noted that world-class venues serve as economic and cultural hubs, fostering job creation, tourism, and community engagement.
