Symposium Held in Moscow to Mark 100th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations Between Saudi Arabia and Russia

Moscow: The Saudi Embassy in Moscow, represented by its Cultural Attach©, organized yesterday a symposium titled 'A Century of Friendship and Cultural and Scientific Exchange' at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) in Moscow, commemorating the 100th anniversary of Saudi-Russian diplomatic relations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the symposium was attended by Deputy Minister for International Cooperation Dr. Latifa bint Hamad Al-Faryan, along with several deans and professors from various universities.

Saudi Ambassador to Russia Sami bin Mohammed Al-Sadhan delivered a speech highlighting the importance of bilateral relations in the fields of education and culture. He emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to prioritizing education as a cornerstone of Vision 2030, aimed at developing the skills of Saudi citizens, enhancing their knowledge and competencies, and preparing them for the future labor market.

Ambassador Al-Sadhan noted that Russian universities hold a distinguished global academic standing, particularly in engineering, medicine, space sciences, and other disciplines that provide valuable scientific and practical expertise. He further explained that strengthening Saudi-Russian cooperation in scientific, educational, and cultural fields, alongside existing partnerships in economic, trade, and investment sectors, represents a fundamental pillar for advancing bilateral relations to broader, deeper, and more comprehensive levels.
