Technical Training Corporation Engages 1,068 Volunteers for Hajj Programs

Makkah: The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) is actively participating in this year's Hajj season with a dedicated group of 1,068 male and female volunteers. These volunteers, including trainees, are contributing their efforts across Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the Holy Sites, and Madinah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Director General of Activities at the Corporation, Eng. Abdullah Al-Dahilan, detailed the participation of 425 scouts and guides. These individuals represent 26 scouting teams, comprising 19 teams for boys and 7 for girls, along with 51 leaders. Participants hail from various technical colleges and secondary industrial institutes across the Kingdom. The Corporation's involvement also includes 643 trainees who are part of the Technical Aid Initiative at border crossings and cities leading to the Hajj Road.

The Corporation has mobilized its resources to support volunteer programs, aiming to integrate technical and professional skills in serving the Guests of God. Eng. Al-Dahilan highlighted the significant increase in volunteer participation, which has risen by over 56% from 655 participants in 2022 to 1,068 this year. Volunteers are engaged in guiding lost pilgrims, assisting patients, transporting individuals in need within hospitals, and collaborating with the Ministry of Commerce and the Capital Municipality on various tasks.

Male and female volunteers are also involved in the Kingdom's Hadi and Sacrificial Animals project, helping manage pilgrim entry to slaughterhouses and alleviating congestion. They distribute awareness leaflets in multiple languages to pilgrims, support security personnel, and participate in the 'Road to the Rituals' initiative with 400 technical volunteers. These volunteers represent 15 teams working at 10 border crossings and cities, providing community services or vehicle maintenance. The Aoun Program also sees the participation of 10 volunteer teams, involving around 200 trainees who offer diverse services to visitors of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque.
