The Minister of Culture chairs the meeting of the Cultural, Media and Islamic Affairs Committee of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council

The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani, chaired today a meeting of the Cultural, Media and Islamic Affairs Committee within the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, in the presence of the members of the committee.

The Minister of Culture referred to the importance of developing relations between the two countries in the media, culture and tourism, indicating the government's interest in opening up to our Arab world and strengthening the bonds of Arab brotherhood, and that we worked in this committee within the efforts aimed at strengthening joint cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Badrani stressed that Iraq is going through a distinct stage of stability, and the Prime Minister is accelerating the pace to restore Iraq to its place in international forums.

The meeting included discussing topics and items on the agenda and taking appropriate decisions in their regard, including:

Emphasis on putting the final touches for future institutions to sign their memorandums and executive programs with their counterparts from the Saudi side in preparation for their signing during the next Coordinating Council meeting in Jeddah.

The meeting confirmed the recommendation on the importance of continuity of coordination and hard work at all levels to achieve a solid partnership with the Saudi side within the work of the committee's sectors, as well as offering joint projects in future work that serve the development process for all sectors of the committee's work in line with the vision of the government program.
