The Popular Mobilization thwarts a terrorist plan to target civilians in western Anbar

The Popular Mobilization Authority announced today, Monday, that it had thwarted a terrorist plan to target civilians in western Anbar.

Commander of the Anbar Operations of the Popular Mobilization, Qassem Musleh, confirmed today, Monday, the thwarting of a criminal plan by the remnants of the terrorist “ISIS” to target civilians in Anah district, west of the province.

Musleh said, according to the media of the Popular Mobilization, that "the heroes of the Popular Mobilization, and based on accurate intelligence information, were able to thwart a criminal plan by the elements of the remnants of the terrorist ISIS who were aiming to target civilians in Anah district.

He added, "The plan was to place an explosive belt ready to detonate at the entrance to the district, and then use it afterwards to target civilian gatherings, but the vigilance and caution of our heroes thwarted the terrorist enemy's plans in their infancy."

Musleh reassured the people of Anbar that "the heroes of the Popular Mobilization Forces are making the precious sacrifice for the security and stability of the province."
