Thunderstorms and Dusty Winds Forecast in Several Saudi Regions

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather forecast predicting thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds in parts of Eastern, Riyadh, Makkah, Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan regions. These conditions are expected to reduce visibility in the affected areas. Additionally, dust-stirring winds are anticipated in parts of Al-Jouf and Northern Borders regions, with fog potentially forming during the night and early morning hours.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will vary by region. In the northern and central parts, winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-30 km/h, while in the southern part, they will be southeasterly to easterly at speeds of 12-50 km/h. Waves in the Red Sea are expected to range from half a meter to two and a half meters, with the sea conditions ranging from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast indicates southeasterly to southerly winds in the northern part at speeds of 15-50 km/h, and southeasterly to southerly winds at speeds of 12-28 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from half a meter to over two meters, with sea conditions similarly ranging from calm to choppy.
