Madinah: The Ministry of Tourism and the Saudi Water Authority have initiated joint inspection tours of tourism hospitality facilities in the Madinah Region. This initiative is part of an ongoing field campaign aimed at verifying water quality and safety, while ensuring the continued readiness of services for worshippers and Umrah performers during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the inspections began on Monday, with 47 on-site visits conducted so far. These inspections are part of an integrated action plan designed to enhance compliance and raise readiness levels across hospitality facilities. The coordinated efforts between the two entities see inspection teams from the ministry monitoring hospitality facilities' compliance with approved regulations and laws. Meanwhile, technical teams from the water authority oversee the inspection of water supplies and storage tanks, collecting samples and analyzing them in accordance with national drinking water quality standards.
Both the Ministry of Tourism and the Saudi Water Authority have affirmed that these inspection activities are proactive measures aimed at strengthening compliance and enhancing the reliability of water supplies within hospitality facilities. This initiative contributes to providing a safe and healthy environment for worshippers and Umrah performers, enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
