Medina: The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques is providing guidance services in 20 international languages at the Prophet's Mosque, with the participation of 60 male and female translators working around the clock as part of services offered to pilgrims and visitors during the Hajj season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, service points have been distributed across several key locations within the Prophet's Mosque, including Gate 41 in the visitation area. The authority has also supported the women's section with female translators stationed at multiple locations, including the women's corridors at Gates 13-17 and 25-29, the women's Staircase 27 counters, and the women's comprehensive service center 307.
The authority has utilized modern technologies in delivering the service through dedicated translation devices and smartphone-based applications to facilitate communication with visitors and worshippers in various languages.
Language guidance services also include time-based guidance, which provides pilgrims with information on prayer times, lessons, lectures, and museum and exhibition visits, as well as cultural guidance offering historical and cultural information related to the Prophet's Mosque and its services.
The authority stated that it provided multilingual guidance services to 344,626 beneficiaries from Dhu Al-Qadah 1 to Dhu Al-Hijjah 3, with a daily average of 10,443 beneficiaries. It also affirmed continued efforts to develop guidance and language services at the Prophet's Mosque to facilitate visitor movement and enrich spiritual and cultural experiences.
