U.S. National Islamic Committee on Scouting Chief Highlights Saudi Arabia’s Tremendous Efforts to Serve Pilgrims

Riyadh: Scout Leader Syed Ehtesham Naqvi, the president of the U.S. National Islamic Committee on Scouting, praised the efforts and services provided by the Saudi Arabian government to serve pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque, facilitating their performance of rituals. Naqvi's remarks came during his visit on Tuesday to the Saudi scouting delegation participating in the International Muslim Scouts Jamboree 2024, being held at Camp Starke in Houston, Texas, organized by the Boy Scouts of America. The third annual International Muslim Scouts Jamboree runs through Saturday, July 6. He highlighted the significant efforts of the Saudi scouts and their active participation in various international events, including the International Muslim Scouts Jamboree, where they attract attention in each edition with their activities reflecting the scouting advancement in the Kingdom. He indicated that they convey a message to participants about the progress their country has achieved across di fferent fields. During the meeting attended by Saudi Arabian Scout Association (SASA) vice president Dr. Abdurrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Mudaires, Naqvi praised the role of the Saudi scouts in serving pilgrims with courteous, ethical, and humanitarian conduct, reflecting the Kingdom's keen interest, under its wise leadership, in the welfare of the visitors to the Two Holy Mosques. During the past two days, the Saudi delegation participated in several activities including earning hobby and merit badges, playing adventure games, and participating in sports competitions.
