Umm Al-Qura University Hosts Cultures and Peoples Festival in Makkah

Makkah: The Cultures and Peoples Festival commenced on Wednesday at Umm Al-Qura University, held at King Saud Hall on the university campus. This event is organized by the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers and coincides with International Students Day and the International Day for Tolerance.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival showcased various pavilions that offered a detailed view of the Kingdom's culture. These included displays of crafts, arts, and customs from different regions, along with traditional clothing exhibits that highlighted the richness and diversity of the national identity.

The festival saw participation from 14 countries, alongside the Saudi pavilion and university service booths. These booths provided an integrated system of support for international students, offering guidance and support in academic, psychological, and social areas, as well as facilitating cultural activities.
