Mecca: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque announced that the average duration for performing Umrah during the month of Rabi Al-Thani 1447 AH reached 116 minutes.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority's statistics revealed key details regarding pilgrim movement, showing that 92% of pilgrims performed Tawaf (circumambulation) in the main Mataf area. The average time taken for Tawaf was 42 minutes, while the average duration for Sa'i, which involves traversing Safa and Marwah, was 46 minutes, with 83% of pilgrims performing it on the ground floor. The time required to move from the courtyards to the Mataf area was 15 minutes, and the movement time from the Mataf area to the Sa'i area was 13 minutes.
The authority emphasized its continued commitment to facilitating and organizing the movement of pilgrims within the Grand Mosque, its facilities, and courtyards, ensuring that they can perform their rituals with complete tranquility and peace of mind.
