New delhi: On behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji participated today in the BRICS Foreign Ministers Meeting titled 'Reforms of Global Governance and Multilateral System' held in New Delhi, where Saudi Arabia participated as an invited country.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, the vice minister delivered a speech in which he stressed that strengthening global governance and enhancing the effectiveness of multilateral cooperation have become more urgent than ever. He noted that the international system must not only keep pace with rapid global developments but also be capable of addressing crises and preventing conflicts through balanced and effective collective action.
He reaffirmed respect for international law, state sovereignty, and the principles of good neighborliness as essential pillars for maintaining trust in the multilateral system and safeguarding shared international interests. He emphasized that continued violations of these principles contribute to worsening instability and undermine the collective ability to respond effectively to regional escalation and its broader global repercussions.
