Riyadh: Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Badr bin Ibrahim Al-Suwailem launched today the "Virtual Branch for Social Development" and the "Sectoral Platform for Social Development" at LEAP 2026, held in Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Suwailem emphasized that the introduction of these digital platforms marks a significant advancement in the ministry's efforts to enhance its digital infrastructure and provide a more flexible and user-friendly experience for beneficiaries.
The Virtual Branch allows beneficiaries to access services electronically through live virtual sessions and appointments, eliminating the need to visit ministry branches in person. This innovation aims to improve the beneficiary experience, reduce the need for physical visits, and broaden the geographical reach of the sector's services.
He further explained that the Sectoral Platform for Social Development is designed to enhance operational efficiency by unifying services, data, and procedures. The initial phase will focus on services for associations and individuals with disabilities, targeting more than 19 million beneficiaries and integrating with more than 3,000 licensed entities and centers.
The launch of these two digital initiatives illustrates the ministry's use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence to improve government services, placing beneficiaries at the center of the transformation through more accessible, faster, and more effective digital solutions. It also reflects the ministry's commitment to institutional excellence and best practices.
