Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Engages with UN World Food Programme Leadership

Riyadh: Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji today welcomed Carl Skau, the Acting Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the WFP, particularly in the delivery of humanitarian aid worldwide.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting provided an opportunity to explore strategies for effective collaboration in addressing global food security challenges. The dialogue underscored the Kingdom's commitment to supporting international humanitarian efforts through active engagement with the WFP.

The session was also attended by Raed Al-Thukair, Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), highlighting the Kingdom's integrated approach to global food and agriculture issues.
