Riyadh: The Virtual Autism Clinic, a project of the Charitable Society of Autism Families, is actively participating in the fourth edition of the Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2026. The summit, which commenced today in Riyadh and will continue through September 16, is organized by the Ministry of National Guard's Health Affairs. This event is held in collaboration with the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) and strategically partnered with the Ministry of Investment.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Virtual Autism Clinic is presenting a variety of technologies and solutions targeted at addressing autism spectrum disorder. Among the showcased innovations are genetic tests and screening, a heat map detailing autism services across the Kingdom, and technologies related to autism, as well as artificial intelligence applications aimed at data analysis. These initiatives are pivotal in advancing assessment and care tools while promoting the integration of modern technologies to aid beneficiaries and their families.
In addition to showcasing technological advancements, the clinic emphasizes the significance of enhancing local autism research, creating comprehensive databases, and forging partnerships with academic and research institutions. Such initiatives are crucial in generating knowledge and utilizing local data to identify needs and develop tailored solutions.
The clinic is also investigating potential collaborations in areas such as assistive technologies, artificial intelligence, assessment tools, digital solutions for families, training, research and development, and clinical studies. These collaborations aim to develop scalable local solutions that could be beneficial not just within the Kingdom, but also across the region.
