Riyadh: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) office in Nigeria has laid the foundation stone for a new development center in Jigawa-Hadejia, located 700 kilometers from the capital, Abuja. This center is designed to serve over 2,000 residents of the area, providing a school, an orphanage, an educational institution, a mosque, an artesian well, and commercial shops as charitable endowments. According to Saudi Press Agency, the director of WAMY's office in Nigeria stated that the region is remote and its inhabitants are in need of such a center due to the services it offers, particularly in the education of children and the provision of potable water. The locals expressed their gratitude for the efforts of the government and people of Saudi Arabia in supporting humanitarian and development work around the world.
