Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather forecast for Friday indicating that dust-stirring winds will move through various parts of Saudi Arabia, with moderate to heavy rain and hail expected in the regions of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Madinah. Nighttime and early morning fog may also develop in these areas.
According to Saudi Press Agency, gusty winds and potential rainfall are anticipated in the regions of Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Najran, Eastern, and Riyadh. The forecast also detailed wind patterns over the Red Sea, predicting northwesterly to westerly winds at 15-32 km/h in the northern part, and northwesterly to southwesterly winds at 10-50 km/h in the central and southern parts. The sea conditions are expected to vary from calm to choppy, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to over two meters.
In the Arabian Gulf, the winds will shift throughout the day. The northern and central parts will experience southwesterly to northwesterly winds, shifting to northeasterly at night. Meanwhile, the southern part will see southeasterly to southwesterly winds, changing to northwesterly to northeasterly at night, with speeds of 10-30 km/h. Waves are expected to reach between half a meter and one meter, maintaining relatively calm sea conditions.
