Riyadh: Board Member and Chair of the Messengers of Peace Oversight Committee of the World Scout Foundation, Siegfried Weiser, recently visited the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association. During his visit, he was welcomed by Acting Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed bin Hussein.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on the progress of the second phase of the Messengers of Peace initiative. This global initiative, supported by the Saudi government, aims to encourage volunteering and peace among scouts worldwide, targeting over 100 million scouts across 176 countries.
The discussions also addressed the future strategic directions of the association, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals. The focus is on developing the scouting sector and cultivating young leaders through initiatives that emphasize sustainability and active citizenship.
