Yubsirun Society Launches Surgical Phase of ‘Absir in Makkah’ Project

Makkah: Yubsirun Eye Society, beginning on Dhu Al-Hijjah 13, will launch the implementation phase for conducting surgical operations for 1,000 pilgrims benefiting from the 'Absir in Makkah' project through several medical clinics and specialized centers equipped with the latest technologies to serve pilgrims over four consecutive days. According to Saudi Press Agency, this phase comes as an extension of the field efforts carried out by the society during the past days, which included examining more than 5,000 pilgrims from 10 nationalities and providing more than 10,700 treatment and diagnostic services. These efforts led to the screening of pilgrims and the identification of cases requiring urgent surgical intervention to preserve their eyesight and enable them to complete their rituals in good health and tranquility. The operations and clinic management are supervised by a specialized medical and volunteer team, including 14 consultant physicians and 25 male and female volunteers. The team works around th e clock to provide specialized health care services in line with the highest quality and safety standards, reflecting the nonprofit sector's role in supporting the health care system and improving the quality of services provided to pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season.
