Mecca: Zain KSA delivered a reliable digital experience for pilgrims at the Two Holy Mosques during Ramadan 1447 AH, particularly in the last 10 days, using an advanced network powered by artificial intelligence. The technology enabled effective data traffic management, ensuring service quality and stability during peak congestion and enhancing the overall spiritual experience for visitors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the company recorded a 42% increase in 5G users and a 28% rise in data traffic compared to the previous year. Download speeds improved by 53%, while the number of high-quality voice call users increased by 15%.
With its 5G network covering 100% of the Two Holy Mosques, Zain has positioned itself as a preferred digital choice for pilgrims. This strategy aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives, particularly the Pilgrim Experience Program, by enhancing digital readiness and improving communication infrastructure for a projected 30 million pilgrims annually by 2030.
