Acting Vice Minister of Human Resources for Social Development Discusses Joint Cooperation with the UN Resident Coordinator

Riyadh: The Acting Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Social Development, Eng. Sultan Al-Jerais, met today with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Kingdom, Mohammed El Zarkani, and his accompanying delegation. Al-Jerais welcomed the UN Coordinator and commended the United Nations for its effective relationship with Member States and the role it plays. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the most significant areas of cooperation in their respective specialized agencies, the most effective international strategies for poverty reduction, and the proposal to conduct a joint workshop between the UN specialized agencies and the development sector. The UN Resident Coordinator in the Kingdom expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and acknowledged the Kingdom's support for the work of the United Nations and its many organizations.
