Riyadh: Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit strongly condemned the Israeli attack on civilian residential buildings in Doha, Qatar, describing it as a flagrant and unacceptable violation of Qatari sovereignty.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Aboul Gheit emphasized that Qatar has consistently sought, along with Egypt and the United States, to mediate a ceasefire in Gaza and has made sincere efforts to end the ongoing conflict. He reaffirmed the Arab League's solidarity with Qatar in response to the aggression and expressed support for any measures Qatar might take to protect its sovereignty and security.
Aboul Gheit further stated that Israel's actions constitute a breach of international norms and laws, highlighting the international community's responsibility to hold Israel accountable for its actions, which disregard legal and humanitarian obligations.
