ARCO Secretary-General Discusses Disaster Prediction with AICTO

Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) Abdullah Al-Muhaidli has visited the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) in Tunisia yesterday to strengthen relations and discuss ways of cooperation to serve humanitarian work.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Muhaidli discussed with AICTO Director-General Mohamed Ben Amor ways to strengthen the partnership between the two organizations in predicting and preparing for disasters before they occur in the Arab region.

He also listened to an explanation of the latest information and communication technologies used by AICTO, expressing his desire for cooperation to alleviate the suffering resulting from natural disasters. He emphasized the importance of information and communication technology in emergency management by monitoring the relationship between climate fluctuations and environmental changes to ensure preparedness to confront disasters and mitigate their repercussions.
