Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser in the capital today, ahead of the IsDB Group Annual Meetings 2026. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities to expand the development cooperation between Azerbaijan and the IsDB Group.
According to Saudi Press Agency, discussions highlighted the longstanding partnership and successful collaboration between Azerbaijan and the IsDB Group. This cooperation has been instrumental in supporting numerous development projects across various sectors, such as energy, green energy, agriculture, water and irrigation systems, infrastructure, and social sectors.
Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser commended Azerbaijan's macroeconomic policies and reiterated the IsDB Group's commitment to enhancing cooperation with Azerbaijan. He emphasized the goal of achieving sustainable development impacts across essential sectors in the country, aligning with the broader objectives of the IsDB Group.
