Riyadh: Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Saudi Arabia Mutallim Mirzayev affirmed the depth of political relations and multifaceted cooperation between the two nations across economy, energy, investment, tourism, culture, and humanitarian issues. He expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's leading regional and international role and welcomed its participation in the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Mirzayev noted the strong alignment between Saudi Vision 2030 and the forum's themes, particularly in sustainable urban development, smart infrastructure, and quality of life. He commended the Kingdom's achievements in urban transformation under its wise leadership, stating that Saudi Arabia's ambitious projects are redefining modern urban standards and setting new international benchmarks in sustainability and renewable energy.
The ambassador emphasized that the Kingdom's progress in digital transformation and green infrastructure has solidified its position as a global leader in shaping future cities. He added that hosting the forum in Baku reflects growing international confidence in Azerbaijan's role in addressing global urban challenges and strengthens its status as a vital center for international dialogue and cooperation.
