Saudi Charg© d’Affaires in Senegal Reviews Makkah Route Initiative at Dakar Airport

Dakar: Saudi Embassy Charg© d'Affaires in the Republic of Senegal Mohammed Al-Otaibi today visited the lounge designated for the Makkah Route Initiative at Blaise Diagne International Airport in Dakar. During the visit, the charg© d'affaires reviewed the workflow at the initiative's lounge and the procedures designed to facilitate and streamline the journey of pilgrims performing Hajj, praising the Makkah Route Initiative team and the services provided to pilgrims benefiting from the initiative.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative aims to provide high-quality services to visitors from beneficiary countries by completing their procedures in their home countries with ease and convenience. The process begins with biometric data collection and the electronic issuance of Hajj visas, followed by the completion of passport procedures at the departure airport after verification of health requirements and the coding and sorting of luggage according to transportation and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom.

Pilgrims are then transported through designated routes directly to buses that take them to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah, while partner entities handle the delivery of their luggage.
