Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Leads Cabinet Session in Riyadh

Riyadh:His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired a Cabinet session in Riyadh, where he briefed the Cabinet on his meeting with the President of Syria, Ahmad Al-Sharaa. Discussions encompassed the prospects of bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as recent regional developments.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet expressed Saudi Arabia's full support for Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council and its legitimate government, emphasizing the need to end the coup by the Houthi militia. The Cabinet condemned the Houthis for their military escalation, which exacerbates Yemen's humanitarian crisis and poses threats to regional stability and navigation in the southern Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The Cabinet praised the outcomes of the Strategic-Political and Defense Committee's emergency meeting of the Makkah Alliance for Defense. The meeting affirmed solidarity among member countries against attacks targeting Makkah, Madinah, and other civilian and economic facilities, and agreed to enhance military readiness and implement mutual defense commitments.

Commendation was given to the royal address by King Salman during the Shura Council's session, highlighting Saudi Vision 2030 achievements, developmental reforms, and foreign policy. The Cabinet noted the Shura Council's role in supporting comprehensive development and enhancing governmental coordination.

Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary stated that the preliminary state budget estimates reflect the Kingdom's economic strength and adaptability to global changes, ensuring ongoing service and development spending while maintaining fiscal sustainability.

The Cabinet also reviewed international conferences hosted by Saudi Arabia, including the Global CSR Forum, and praised new initiatives launched to foster social and developmental partnerships. Additionally, the Cabinet recognized World Teachers' Day, emphasizing the importance of teachers in nurturing future generations.

Several decisions were made by the Cabinet, including agreements and memorandums with Turkey, the International Energy Forum, Ghana, Syria, and Armenia, as well as a cooperation agreement with Albania in legal matters.
