Amman:The Jordanian government has condemned the Houthi militia's ongoing attacks on Saudi Arabia, which include attempts to target the cities of Makkah and Madinah, as well as civilian and economic facilities in several other locations. These actions have been described by Jordan as a flagrant violation of Saudi sovereignty, posing a threat to its security and stability and breaching international law and the UN Charter.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement affirming its absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia. The ministry expressed unwavering support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security, stability, sovereignty, resources, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The ministry also emphasized the importance of supporting Yemeni legitimacy and resolving the crisis based on principles that ensure the restoration of security and stability in Yemen. This includes protecting Yemen's unity, sovereignty, and resources, and fulfilling the aspirations of the Yemeni people according to agreed references.
Furthermore, Jordan reaffirmed its support for Saudi Arabia's efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement in Yemen and its leadership role in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen.
