Dakar: The preliminary rounds of the second Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Competition for the Memorization of the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah began today in Dakar, Senegal. Organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, the event features 100 participants representing 53 African countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the competition is represented by the Religious Attach© at the Saudi Embassy in Senegal and is conducted in cooperation with the General Authority for Awqaf. The initiative aims to encourage memorization and instill core Islamic values through healthy competition.
As one of the ministry's key international programs, this competition strengthens cultural and spiritual ties across the continent, fostering a spirit of excellence and devotion among African youth.
