Makkah: Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in Makkah Region, Fareed Al-Shehri, attended the opening ceremony of the Consulate General of the Syrian Arab Republic. The event was also attended by Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Al-Shaibani, alongside several officials and members of the diplomatic corps.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the opening of the consulate symbolizes the leadership's commitment, under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to enhancing Arab relations. This move aims to reinforce cooperation and rapprochement among countries, supporting security, stability, and shared interests.
The ceremony saw attendance from various officials and diplomats, highlighting the strong fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Syrian Arab Republic. It also demonstrated a commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation across multiple fields.
