Madinah: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) continues to support the Makkah Route Initiative, part of the Pilgrim Experience Program, by providing integrated customs services for pilgrims arriving in the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, ZATCA provides its services through the Makkah Route Initiative halls at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. Customs procedures are completed efficiently for pilgrims from countries included in the initiative, enabling them to proceed directly to their accommodations.
The authority is leveraging customs technologies and smart systems to enhance procedural efficiency and provide pilgrims with a seamless experience, in line with the initiative's objectives of reducing time and effort while improving service quality. These efforts reflect integration among government entities participating in the initiative, helping streamline procedures and enhance services provided to pilgrims.
