Riyadh: The Fashion Commission, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture's Cultural Policy Lab, has launched a pivotal "Guidance Manual for Contracts and Agreements Between Fashion Models, Modeling Agencies, and Fashion Designers." This initiative aims to advance professional practices within the fashion industry by establishing a clear and organized working environment for all stakeholders and reinforcing professional standards aligned with the sector's growth in Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the manual provides guidance templates designed to regulate professional relationships among fashion models, modeling agencies, and fashion designers. It plays a crucial role in increasing awareness of contractual rights, duties, and responsibilities, ensuring that all parties comprehend the fundamental components of agreements. These components encompass working hours, professional requirements, mechanisms for protecting rights, age considerations, provisions related to the use of images and content, and mutual professional obligations.
The manual further addresses challenges stemming from ambiguous roles and responsibilities or the lack of structured contractual frameworks. By offering a guidance reference, it aids in building clear and balanced professional relationships, thereby strengthening trust and cooperation among entities and individuals within the fashion creative ecosystem.
