Riyadh:The fifth edition of the European Film Festival commenced today in Riyadh, showcasing 16 films from 16 different European countries. The festival is designed to celebrate European cinema and foster cultural exchange through film.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event is organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Saudi Arabia, in partnership with the embassies of EU member states, Arabia Pictures, VOX Cinemas, and Fairmont Riyadh. The festival is further supported by the Saudi Film Commission.
The festival will not only feature screenings of internationally award-winning films but also include panel discussions and events aimed at bringing together European and Saudi filmmakers. These activities are intended to promote cultural and cinematic exchange between the regions. Public screenings are scheduled to take place from November 3 to 10 at VOX Cinemas, Century Corner in Riyadh.
