Riyadh: The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) organized a panel discussion today titled "Data Innovation to Advance Official Statistics," as part of the Road to Riyadh program series in preparation for the Kingdom's hosting of the 6th UN World Data Forum in Riyadh this November.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the session focused on exchanging knowledge and best practices to enhance Arab statistical agencies' capabilities in data innovation, improve indicator quality, and support economic and social development. The panel featured regional and international experts who discussed opportunities and challenges in data collection, analysis, and dissemination in line with global transformations.
The 6th UN World Data Forum is one of the most prominent international platforms on data and sustainable development, bringing together governments, international organizations, the private sector, and academic institutions. Riyadh's hosting of the forum underscores international confidence in the Kingdom's standing in data and statistics.
