GASTAT: Nonprofit Sector Revenues Rise to SAR73.1 Billion, Growing by 22% in 2024

Riyadh: Nonprofit sector revenues for 2024 rose to SAR73.1 billion, marking a 22% increase compared with 2023. Expenditures grew to SAR60.8 billion, up 17%, while compensation of employees reached SAR28.9 billion, up 13% from 2023, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).

According to Saudi Press Agency, GASTAT data indicated that education and research activities contributed 29% of total revenues, followed by health at 24% and culture and entertainment at 19%, making them the top contributors to sector revenues. The data also showed that culture and entertainment accounted for 42% of total workers, followed by social services at 20%, while development and housing accounted for 9%.

Regarding fixed capital formation, asset purchases reached SAR4.37 billion, with the health sector recording the highest contribution at SAR1.4 billion.
