General Authority of the Two Holy Mosques Expands Mobility Services at the Grand Mosque

Riyadh: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has implemented a comprehensive mobility framework within the Grand Mosque, aiming to elevate the quality of services and facilitate the seamless performance of rituals, particularly for the elderly and individuals with disabilities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, as part of this initiative, the authority has established specialized centers in strategic locations to provide free wheelchair access. The massive deployment includes over 6,000 manual wheelchairs distributed across various access points within the Grand Mosque and its sprawling courtyards. Additionally, the fleet features 25 specialized transport carts specifically engineered for individuals with severe mobility impairments.

To guarantee highly responsive service, the logistical distribution and pick-up points have been meticulously organized, providing worshippers with maximum flexibility and uninterrupted movement during peak crowd hours.

The authority emphasized that the continuous enhancement of accessibility services is a core objective in enriching the overall pilgrim experience. These dedicated efforts directly reflect the profound care and attention the Kingdom's wise leadership towards the two holy mosques and pilgrims.
