Riyadh: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's branch in Madinah is committed to improving services for pilgrims through the compliance center, which focuses on enhancing procedural efficiency and ensuring quality performance among Umrah companies. Director of field monitoring units at the regional branch, Turki Tarnati, noted that the center oversees all services at reception and departure stations, ensuring high standards and addressing any shortcomings.
According to Saudi Press Agency, field teams are engaged in daily monitoring of grouping (Tafweej) and departure operations, coordinating services to land and air ports, as well as to Makkah, in order to manage the high traffic volume, particularly during Ramadan. Since the start of the Umrah season, over 10.5 million pilgrims have entered through all ports, with around 750,000 in Makkah and over 250,000 in Madinah. All are receiving services smoothly, supported by continuous follow-up.
The center also conducts visits to housing units to ensure readiness and verifies agreements between service companies and housing providers to guarantee quality and safety. It prepares statistical reports, monitors performance indicators, and supervises the execution of plans across branches and ports. The ministry, in collaboration with relevant authorities, continues to enhance service quality, aiming to improve the experience for pilgrims and visitors in Madinah.
