Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held today in Jeddah. HRH the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the message received by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud from President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti concerning bilateral relations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, HRH the Crown Prince also informed the Cabinet of his consultations with leaders from Syria, Lebanon, Switzerland, Ukraine, Japan, the Czech Republic, and Bangladesh. HRH the Crown Prince expressed gratitude to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders for their efforts during the GCC Consultative Summit hosted by Saudi Arabia, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to regional security and stability.
Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary stated that the Cabinet reviewed regional and international developments and reiterated Saudi Arabia's stance on these issues, supporting diplomatic efforts for global peace. The Cabinet discussed domestic achievements under Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on diversifying the economy and enhancing adaptability to global changes.
The Cabinet commended Vision 2030's progress, noting that 93% of key performance indicators achieved annual targets. The Cabinet emphasized sustaining this impact in the third phase, accelerating work pace, and ensuring continued progress. Government entities were recognized for their progress in the 2026 Emerging Technologies Adoption Readiness Index.
The Cabinet addressed other agenda items and issued several decisions, including approving memoranda of understanding with Colombia, Brunei Darussalam, Somalia, Portugal, Qatar, Nigeria, and Syria. These agreements span energy, sports, economy, investment, customs cooperation, food and drug safety, and news exchange.
