HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Chairs Cabinet Session in NEOM

Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired a significant Cabinet session in NEOM, where pivotal regional and international issues were discussed. The session opened with HRH the Crown Prince briefing the Cabinet on his recent communications with key global leaders, including United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Republic of Korea President Lee Jae-myung, and Italian Republic Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Additionally, he shared insights from a message received from Republic of Sierra Leone President Dr. Julius Maada Bio.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet session included a firm condemnation of statements by the Israeli occupation government's prime minister regarding the 'greater Israel vision.' The Cabinet reiterated its rejection of settlement and expansionist plans by the occupation authorities, emphasizing the Palestinian people's historical and legal right to establish an independent and sovereign state in accordance with international laws.

In a statement following the session, Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of State, Cabinet Member for Shura Council Affairs, and Acting Minister of Media, highlighted the Cabinet's condemnation of Israeli settlement approvals around Jerusalem. The Cabinet called on the international community, especially UN Security Council permanent members, to act immediately to halt crimes against Palestinians and ensure compliance with UN resolutions.

The Cabinet also expressed support for diplomatic efforts to resolve the Russia-Ukraine crisis peacefully and welcomed the summits involving U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and European leaders.

Recognizing World Humanitarian Day, the Cabinet celebrated Saudi Arabia's longstanding commitment to humanitarian efforts, grounded in principles of the Islamic religion. The Kingdom's role as a major global donor was underscored, highlighting its ongoing dedication to supporting humanity.

As the new academic year approaches, the Cabinet reviewed recent educational achievements, such as curriculum development, teacher professionalization, and integration of artificial intelligence. These efforts aim to maintain Saudi Arabia's leadership in education by fostering creativity and innovation.

The Cabinet issued several decisions, including authorizing discussions and agreements in sports, health, and tourism with various countries. Notably, agreements were approved with Spain in sports, Syria in health, and the United States in customs cooperation, among others.

The session concluded with the Cabinet addressing other agenda items and issuing further decisions, underscoring the Kingdom's proactive approach to international cooperation and development.
