In Preparation for Hajj Season, Roads Authority Completes Maintenance of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road

Riyadh: The Roads General Authority has carried out maintenance work on the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road, which connects Jeddah with Makkah, to ensure that the road network leading to the holy sites is well-maintained and meets traffic safety standards. The endeavor entailed verifying that the roads comply with standards and specifications, and improving road safety and supervision. According to the authority, the maintenance works on Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road included scraping and asphalting more than 9,500 square meters, and marking the road over a distance of 6,000 square meters. The authority carries out continuous monitoring of the entire road network using survey and evaluation equipment, and by receiving feedback from road users via the call center number 938. All feedback is taken into consideration to ensure the safety and quality of the road network. Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road is one of the largest in the Kingdom, and one of the most important highways in the region to serve pilgri ms. The road is some 70 kilometers long and has five lanes.
