Davos: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef met with a number of government officials and executives of leading global companies on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos, Switzerland. During a meeting with Premier of Bermuda David Burt, the two sides explored joint investment opportunities and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Alkhorayef also met with the Head of the World Economic Forum's Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains, where discussions focused on the role of governments in shaping policies that support the private sector and accelerate the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies.
In a separate meeting with the Deputy CEO of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), the minister discussed opportunities for cooperation in vaccine manufacturing within the Kingdom.
The minister additionally held a series of meetings with leaders of major global companies, including the Chairman and CEO of Medtronic, the CEO of Hertha Metals, and the CEO of Archer. Discussions focused on expanding these companies' operations in Saudi Arabia.
The meetings also reviewed plans to manufacture new products, adopt innovative solutions to enhance sustainability and reduce carbon emissions in the industrial sector, and transfer advanced manufacturing technologies to support smart transportation in the Kingdom.
These meetings coincide with Saudi Arabia's participation in WEF 2026, underscoring the Kingdom's role as an active partner in addressing global economic challenges.
