Interior Ministry Announces SAR20,000 Fine for Unauthorized Entry to Makkah and Holy Sites

Riyadh: The Ministry of Interior has announced the implementation of a financial penalty of up to SAR20,000 for holders of all types of visit visas who enter, attempt to enter, or remain in Makkah and the holy sites. This enforcement period spans from Dhu Al-Qidah 1 until the end of Dhu Al-Hijjah 14.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry has also confirmed that individuals who infiltrate the holy sites to perform Hajj, including residents and overstayers, will be deported to their home countries and will face a 10-year ban from re-entering the Kingdom. It is emphasized that visit visas do not grant permission to perform Hajj.

The Ministry of Interior has urged all individuals to adhere to the regulations set for this year's Hajj season. Compliance is essential to ensure the security and safety of pilgrims. The ministry warns that violations will result in legal consequences.

The public is encouraged by the ministry to report any violations by contacting 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern regions, and 999 in the remaining regions of the Kingdom.
