Islamic Affairs Ministry Concludes Third Holy Quran Competition in Sri Lanka

Colombo: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance concluded yesterday the third Holy Quran Competition in Sri Lanka, implemented as part of its initiatives to encourage memorizers of the Holy Quran globally for the third consecutive year. The competition featured 2,600 male and female contestants from across all states and governorates.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ceremony, held on this occasion in the capital, Colombo, was attended by a number of Islamic figures, ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries accredited to Sri Lanka, and several heads of Islamic associations and centers.

At the end of the ceremony, the winners were honored and presented with prizes, gifts, and commemorative shields, amid a celebratory atmosphere that reflected the status of this competition and its impact in serving the Holy Quran and promoting Islamic values.
