Jeddah Governor Honors 2,879 Quran Memorizers at Khayrocom Association Ceremony

Jeddah: Under the patronage of Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz and on his behalf, Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalwi honored 2,879 male and female memorizers of the Holy Quran today. The honoring took place during the annual ceremony of the Khayrocom Association for Quran Memorization in Makkah Region, which was attended by several prominent figures.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the association, Eng. Abdulaziz Hanafi delivered a speech expressing gratitude to Prince Saud bin Mishal for his patronage and to Prince Saud bin Abdullah for his attendance. During the address, he reviewed the history of Khayrocom, spanning more than five decades.

He highlighted the association's achievements, noting that its student body has reached 67,000 and that 2.7 million beneficiaries are now in 139 countries worldwide. He further noted that the association's students consistently secure top positions in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Award for the Holy Quran Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation. He emphasized the great care provided by the wise Saudi leadership toward the Holy Quran through its printing and teaching, and its status as the constitution of the Kingdom.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalwi honored the top-achieving students at the governorate level, along with the sponsoring and supporting entities.
