Jeddah Governor Inspects Corniche Circuit Ahead of Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Race

Jeddah: Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi inspected the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Wednesday in preparation for hosting the Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix race.

According to Saudi Press Agency, he was accompanied by Chairman of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah bin Faisal, Assistant Minister of Sport for Sports Affairs Adwa Al-Arifi, Director of the Ministry of Sport branch in Makkah Region Abdulaziz bin Abod, and CEO of the Saudi Motorsport Company Eng. Mansour Al-Mokbel, along with several local security officials.

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is hosting the race for the fifth consecutive year from April 18 to 20. It is considered one of the most distinctive circuits, featuring 27 turns-more than any other track in the championship.

The course stretches over 6.176 kilometers, with drivers navigating 16 left-hand and 11 right-hand turns, reaching top speeds of up to 322 km/h.

Known for its flowing design and narrow layout, the circuit includes three Drag Reduction System (DRS) zones, intensifying competition and increasing the race's excitement.
